Urbanland Music and it’s subsidiaries was founded
in 1999 by Paul Kyser, a world known songwriter, arranger,
conductor, producer and record company owner. Kyser worked
and built relationships with just about all of the artists
from the late 60s and 70s era. Kyser wrote over 30 hits
in his career as a record producer.
During the 90s Kyser decided to bring back the 70s
Sweet Soul sound to the stage.
Kyser bought back groups like Black Ivory who hadn’t
sung in years.
That’s when Urbanland was founded. To promote
70s music entertainment in a big way. That’s why
it’s called The Big Show.
Other promoters would have 3-4 acts live on stage with
a 5-piece band.
Urbanland Music’s Big Show have over 9 acts on
stage and a 25-30 piece back up orchestra to back up
the artists. Urbanland wanted to capture the real 70s
sweet soul sound with violins, violas, a large horn
section, and great arrangements.

After each show people could not get enough of Ray,
Goodman, and Brown (aka The Moments) or The Main Ingredients,
Eddie Holman, and many others.
That’s when Urbanland filmed the shows and put it
in a 24 act DVD, VHS, and CD set Volumes 1 and 2. Over
6 hours of live music of you favorite artists of that
era and at a much lower price than anything on the market
today.
You may see other advertisements on television selling
the 70s acts for $250.00 and for 1 song per artist.
However, Urbanland Music offers 2 – 5 songs per
artist. Other advertisers offer 2 DVD's, but Urbanland
Music offers 4 DVD's plus great interviews on the artists.
Kyser is a known historian of the late 60s and 70s
Sweet Soul Music. By visiting Urbanland Music we promise
great artist interviews, discussions, upcoming events
and continued education about sweet soul music.
Look for us to bring The Big Show to your city soon!
